Have You Been Criticized Lately?
When someone shoots an arrow of criticism at us, it is really harmless. It is our pride that puts the sting on it. Our pride makes it hurt. What they say is only a thought that they made up at the moment, and spoke it out loud. It doesn’t mean it is true.
When I was teaching self-esteem classes to the grammar school kids, we used as an example: “Will you be offended if I call you a pinetree?” Just because someone says something, doesn’t mean it is true, unless you accept it and take it in.
It’s our egotism that feels hurt when another’s self-assertion crashes into our path. We may feel wounded by our own faults, but we can hardly afford to be miserable because of the faults of others.
A courtier told Constantine that a mob had broken the head of his statue with stones. The emperor lifted his hands to his head, saying: “It is very surprising, but I don’t feel hurt in the least.”
There are millions of people with different opinions, different ambitions, different tastes, and different loves. Each person has a different history, culture, character and upbringing.
How can an opinion of someone so different from us be the truth? There is no way they can see inside us to know of a surety what is real or not.
What one sees on the screen of life, is projected from inside their own mind. So if someone criticizes you about some thing, realize that this comment only comes from the filmstrip that is playing within their own mind.
For you to be offended by it, only means that you must see some truth in it within yourself. It is your pride and ego that is upset by the comment, so you become angry with that person.
Being upset and angry at someone else, is passing the buck, because you don’t want to take responsibility for your own life or behavior. It was said 2000 years ago, “Take the log out of your own eye, before you try to take the tiny spot out of another’s.”
Look to yourself before you criticize another. Have the smallest expectation of others while holding onto the largest patience. Take a lesson from the criticism, maybe there is a grain of truth in it.
When we are angry or resentful towards another person it is a vicious circle, because it ties us to that person. It drains our energy, because part of us is always focused on that unresolved situation. If you continually keep the past alive, you aren’t free to move on.
You may learn much about yourself from your friends and enemies. Every encounter, however unpleasant, offers a great opportunity to learn something about ourselves—if we are open to it. Look beyond the messenger to the message itself.
When you forgive and forget, you free up 100 percent of your energy for constructive creating what you really want. To get more details on FORGIVING, get this special report: Importance of Forgiveness
Why Affirmations DO Work!
Affirmations are powerful tools for clearing your limiting beliefs and blocks that keep you from attracting what you desire. The positive words contained within the affirmation carry higher frequencies of energy vibration. Science has proven that a higher-frequency wave of energy hitting a wave of lower frequency will raise the frequency of the lower one.
You already know how powerful habits are. When you were taught how to brush and floss your teeth properly, it took several times to remember what you were taught before it became a habit. After the habit was established you can now do it while you think about anything else.
Remember how much attention you had to pay when you first learned to drive a car, or drive a stick shift? Now you can drive, talk on your cell phone with one hand, and hold a hamburger in the other. (Was that 3 hands?):-)
We have been taught that to change a habit, it takes doing the new one correctly at least twenty one days, until the subconscious mind picks it up and then we can do it without thinking.
By saying a positive affirmation out loud, you are anchoring the higher truth they affirm within a specific level of your mind. As I spoke about in my Special Report,An Abundance Parable, you have four levels of your mind. Your affirmation anchors in the identity body and will gradually counteract the beliefs you have stored there. The element of repetition gives a powerful rhythm to what you say.
Saying an affirmation only one time does not give it enough power to be totally effective. Ever wonder why your prayers weren’t answered?
By repeating a prayer or affirmation, you generate wave upon wave of energy. By invoking such waves of high-frequency spiritual energy and directing them through your four energy bodies, you are sending light into them where it will consume all misqualified energies.
As you speak a positive phrase, it is going out into the physical world, but you should not simply speak it with your mouth. You also need to include the rest of your mind–your feelings, your beliefs and your thoughts. Just mindlessly saying the words doesn’t give them enough power to really be effective. That is what vain repetition is.
Intellectually you need to know that this change is possible. You must believe that your Magic Wanda within you, or your higher self, can actually replace your old beliefs with the new ones. Replace the ideas of the way you were brought up—that of seeing yourself as merely a human being who had to follow the crowd, with limited powers and abilities. You are more than that. You are a spiritual being wearing a physical body.
Your thoughts must be, that because of the higher frequencies of positive energy, they will consume those of lower frequency. You can be at peace with your emotions because you know that the power from the spiritual realm is greater when it is allowed to flow into the material realm through one who has a body and accepts it as spiritual energy.
The purpose of giving positive affirmations is to clear the old ones out of your mind. Those blocks didn’t build up there overnight. Doing your phrases daily may take quite awhile to overcome those. But habits are quite ingrained within your consciousness. Your ego doesn’t like to let go of them, because habits are one way of controlling you.
Be aware that taking a step upward brings thoughts and ideas to counteract what you are trying to accomplish. Be persistent, be determined that you will succeed. You ARE making a difference.
I have written a Special Report at no cost that will help explain why it is so hard to eliminate old limiting beliefs and the ways that you can clean and clear all of them. You can download it here: An Abundance Parable
Do You Still Hold On When It Hurts?
People hold on to what is familiar, what they already know. Even though it causes their life to become a continuous struggle, they don’t want to let go.
They would rather hang onto the misery they know, rather than open their hearts to the freedom they can’t yet see, and may not be able to believe is really there and really possible.
A closed mind is the enemy of freedom. People are reluctant to look at something new, especially if it doesn’t fit their present beliefs– what life looks like.
So give them a new idea that is outside their current mental box, and they tend to be suspicious or negative; they’ll reject it before even giving it serious consideration.
They remain trapped in no-man’s land-not happy with things as they are, but dare not begin walking away from the prison of the mind and into the sunlight of a new freedom.
If you are not willing to look beyond the mental box defined by your old limiting beliefs, then you will reject those very things which will give you freedom.
An open mind is the key to freedom. The Law of Attraction is the key to freedom.
In this age we have to recognize and accept that we live in an interactive universe. If we want our outer situation to change, we first have to be willing to change the inner feelings, beliefs and thoughts of our mind.
All fear is based on an illusion. The debilitating effect of fear is that it makes us afraid to take a closer look at what we fear. Therefore we don’t see that fear is just a thought that we made up.
The ego hates to be proven wrong. It creates a mental image of what the world is like, but it is based on a dualistic belief system which is flawed and incomplete.
Our whole lives are spent in trying to defend the illusions and beliefs of the ego so it won’t be wrong. It is so powerful the ego can create proof so you can say, “see, I told you so. “
One of the most sacred beliefs of the ego is that if your beliefs are proven wrong, you are a bad person. It absolutely does not want you to question your beliefs.
You are perfect just the way you are. Your current beliefs are the highest understanding you are able to grasp with your current level of consciousness. So to accept a higher understanding doesn’t mean you are wrong or bad. You have no need to defend your limited understanding. Just let it go and accept your newfound higher understanding. How? Go to www.YourMagicWanda.com to learn more.
When your ego is in control, you fear a higher understanding and you hang onto your present beliefs thinking they are infallible and the absolute truth.
Be open to the possibility that you can be given a higher understanding that may expand your beliefs beyond where you are today.
You have incredible power within to create your life as you want it to be.
Go for it!
